From the 5th of February to the night of the 6th, we got a total of 33 inches of snow. Early morning on Sunday, we got news of my uncle being stabbed and in critical condition in Rhode Island. I tried so hard to get plane tickets to RI, but airports were shut and most airlines had cancelled flights at the 3 major airports near me. So we flew out on Monday to see my uncle. But, we had to fly back out on Tuesday. Tuesday night, we were expecting 10-20 inches of snow and on Wednesday it was going to hit RI, 10-20 inches of snow. The airlines cancelled all the flights on Wednesday and Thursday.

Cranston police have arrested a suspect accused of stabbing a clerk several times during a convenience store robbery Saturday evening.
Police responded to the Best Way Mart on Atwood Avenue Saturday night just before 6:30 p.m.
Inside officers discovered the store owner had been stabbed several times during an altercation with a robbery suspect. The man then got away with an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital but police have not released his name or condition.
Using the store's surveillance system photos the police canvassed the neighborhood searching for suspects.
During their investigation they identified Robert Ruggieri of Briggs Street as their suspect. Officials say Ruggieri matches the surveillance images captured during the robbery.
Riggieri was taken into police custody without incident. He is now facing multiple felony charges including assault with a dangerous weapon. He will be arraigned Monday morning.

CRANSTON — A man who robbed a convenience store on Saturday repeatedly stabbed the store owner before fleeing the business at 280 Atwood Ave., according to the police.
Detectives used still photos from the Best Mart to canvass the neighborhood and identify the suspect, Robert Ruggieri, 58, of 85 Briggs St. The police said Ruggieri was arrested without incident and charged with assault with intent to commit a felony and felony assault with a dangerous weapon. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
A police spokesman would not immediately identify the store owner, but said he remained a patient at Rhode Island Hospital on Sunday night.

CRANSTON, R.I. -- A local man accused of stabbing the owner of a convenience store during a robbery Saturday evening was arraigned Monday in Kent County District Court and held on $100,000 surety bail.
Robert Ruggieri, 58, of 85 Briggs St., Apt. 505, is due back in court April 12 after being charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault with intent to commit a felony, and possession of a bladed weapon.
The Cranston police said that a man walked into the Best Way Mart, at 280 Atwood Ave., just after 6 p.m. and tried to rob the store. The owner, whom the police did not identify, fought with the robber and was stabbed several times before the robber fled. The police did not say what injuries the owner suffered.
The store's surveillance cameras captured the robber's image, and the police identified him as Ruggieri.
